Radio Docs

I do like a good radio documentary. I have even been known to email the producer if I can find their email and tell them how much I enjoyed their doc when I find a good one.

Two recent gems:

Voice notes from the past

45 rpm "single" vinyl record and a mailing envelope for it. Record is a "voice-o-gram"

“Voice notes on vinyl records? It used to be all the rage: Love letters once whizzed around the world on vinyl records, says collector”

Charming radio doc from the CBC on The Current with audio clips of these early “voice notes”.

E27-29: Lesbians and Gays Support the Miners

Only listened to episode 1 so far but an interesting background to the state of 2SLGBTQIA+ and other progressive politics in the 1980s.
